Hotel next to the skilift Bünda

The Bünda trainer ski lift is next to the Hotel Bünda. The Swiss Snow Sport School Davos (www.ssd.ch/en) has set up a ‘snow garden’ for children.  Ski courses for beginners and a weekly final ski race for children is also offered on these local slopes.

The snow sport region Davos Klosters, comprising of 6 ski areas with over 300 kilometres of slopes and 57 transport facilities, excites carvers and snowboarders alike. The Davos Klosters ski region is one of the most snow-sure ski resorts in the Alps. The local Parsenn ski area has 150 kilometres of slopes and connects Davos with Klosters. Skiers who enjoy long and wide descents feel at home here. The Parsenn valley station is 5 minutes-walk from the hotel.

The Jakobshorn ski area is particularly popular with snowboarders. Families prefer to ski on Madrisa in Klosters and Rinerhorn in Davos Glaris. The valley stations are easily accessible by local bus and /or the Rhaetian railway.

Away from the hustle and bustle, there is an alternative place to enjoy winter activities on Pischa (in the Flülela valley). Hiking trails, designated snowshoe trails, free-ride descents and 4 fatbike downhill tracks guarantee lots of winter fun.

Our tip: Let the Fontana family spoil you on the sun terrace in the restaurant Mãder. The Flüela valley is also a popular start point for backcountry skiing.

The first ski area in Europe with ‘decelerated’ ski slopes is on the sunny mountain of Schatzalp / Strela. This area for ‘slow skiers’ is also popular with families. Please note that the regional ski pass is not valid on Schatzalp. A separate ticket needs to be purchased.

Ski equipment, including helmets can be hired at Bünda Sport next to the hotel. All hotel guests receive 15% discount on current rental prices.

Inclusive offer for skiers and snow boarders:

  • Ski room in cellar (not heated)
  • Up to 20% rental equipment at Bünda Sport (right next door to the hotel)
  • Purchase of ski pass at reception
  • Free participation in the Davos Klosters ‘Inside Winterprogramme’ (e.g. ski guiding), a free programme for guests
  • Free local bus service (without the side valleys Sertig and Dischma)  and free use of the Rhaetian railway in the Davos Klosters area
  • Where to go – the best tips for hut visits
